NA conversion, FSI, CRZ, town-planning scheme — the terms you'll see across our research, defined once.
NA Conversion — the legal process of converting agricultural land to non-agricultural use, required before residential or commercial construction.
FSI (Floor Space Index) — the ratio of a building's total floor area to the plot size; determines how much can legally be built on a given parcel.
CRZ (Coastal Regulation Zone) — the regulatory classification governing construction on coastal land, divided into zones I through IV.
Town Planning Scheme — a detailed, sector-level plan under a master plan that must be approved before development can proceed within that sector.
